Walk on through the rain.

I was once a broken toy, collecting dust on the shelf, assured myself that I'll forever be plagued with trust issues. I was a wreck, doubtlessly believed that I could never be truly happy in the relationship department. But hey, I was nothing a certain Joe Jr. can't mend back together.

This man taught me that honesty really is the best policy. Three years together and he showed me just how much he knows I'm worth. That, boys and girls, will forever be a winner. We were like the perfect crime-fighting partners, drawing chalk lines all over the city, cleaning the streets off villains. For every second I felt ugly throughout my previous relationship, he made me feel effortlessly pretty. He taught me to appreciate myself, my every quirks and flaws, something a certain douchebag never did. Everything was well worth it.

But as much as you wish you're not ever going to age a year older, life comes barging through your door, baring serious life decisions in front of you.

It was inevitable.
It sucks.

Everything happens for a reason, yes. God loaned me you after I wasted six years of my life on something so idiotic, I can never comprehend why I did what I did. And because of that, we emerged out of this one as better versions of ourselves. It's all for the good of the team. The sons (daughters, in your case) of bitches that are going to be with us next would only have us to thank! (Kidding?)

I'd like to believe we'll remain the best of friends after this like we promised. Who else will I break up with and can still have a laugh while tears are still coursing down our faces?

And so the curtain closes down on us... like the end of a heart-wrenching Season Finale of your favourite TV show.

"You know I'm still going to support Liverpool after this, right?
"You better. Man U, eww~"
"Haha. Chelsea, Chel-shit~"

Inside joke.

Always,
Starbright :')

So long.

I wish I could say nothing is more comforting than a long hot shower, wearing an oversized tee, eating the savoury broasted chicken rice from Sugar Bun in bed, but alas..

I am just a human. And life happened.

It's going to be a really long night.

"Sarawak kan ramai orang takda agama.."

A conversation between the cobbler in front of Nagoya and I.

Him: Awak asal mana?
Me: Sarawak. Tapi duduk sini. Kakak and abang saya pun sama. Selalu datang sini teman mak saya beli barang je. Saya sayang kasut ni. (I'm chatty, I know)
Him: Oh. Islam?
Me: (Confused) Ye. Eh kan tadi abang nampak mak and kakak saya pakai tudung?
Him: Bagus lah. Sarawak kan ramai orang takda agama..
Me: (What the bloody fuck is this dude talking about?) Hmm. Ye lah.

Awkward silence. Thought of asking, Abang ni pernah datang Sarawak ke? But decided against it. Jalan TAR has drained me off my energy.

Coffee, sir?

While accompanying Fatin to Bank Rakyat today, I caught a glimpse of something really peculiar being promoted on the shelves. Naturally, the inquisitive me asked, without realising that my natural volume of speaking voice could easily travel to every corner of the room, "Kenapa Tunjuk Langit?"

And just like that Fatin pushed my head away (the gall!), "Dah, dah, jangan fikir lagi. Dah dah.." as he dragged me to the door.

Little did he know, his gesture of trying to not let me figure it out in the bank where everyone else was watching just made my mind worked overtime, like a hamster on a threadmill and just before he managed to drag me outside, the hamster stopped running and the imaginary light bulb turns itself on on the top of my head, "Ohhh! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaha!"

I burst out laughing. At the door.

Good try, Fatin. Better luck next time! Sigh. Kopi Tunjuk Langit. Macam macam!

Two boys and a girl.

"Mmm.. Two at the same time. Ahh."

"Adrian, I can't detect yours."

"Have you tried pulling it out and putting it in again?"

Don't tell me I'm dirty minded when these boys have been feeding me these lines! Okay, so I'm slightly dirty minded but so is everyone else!

Weekender.

"I used to have this Boy London watch when I was little. The colour would change according to the room temperature. Purple, green, red. I loved it so much.."

"Then what happened?"

"I got a new watch."

He laughed and said, "Aku sebatang pen.."

Random entry. Haven't stepped inside starcladnight for quite some time. Also, I'm trying out a new app for blogging.

Childhood obsession.

#Fact - when I was little, I was a huge fan of R.L. Stine's Fear Street books. Since I was too much of a dreamer in school to concentrate in class, R.L. Stine pretty much taught me Beginner English - which explains my repetitive usage of certain words, sometimes.

I remember how I wished the world will never run out of Fear Street books for me to read and how I was rewarded with these books for every A and on every birthday.

Every week I'd count all my collections on my book rack - 40 or so in a duration of three years. Now it's less than 30, no thanks to cousins who borrowed because their parents insist it'll be a good way for them to learn English. Until today, I don't think they've learnt a thing from it.

I've been feeling a bit under the weather these past few days and still, nothing is as comforting as reading the books I've probably read more than 10 times in this lifetime.

They're cheesy as hell and I'm sure it didn't require R.L. Stine to think too much to write it but I was 9 so excuse my taste!

Hair is aching for a wash now. Have a great week ahead, folks! Remember, sore losers are never attractive.
